A growing family in a Westchester County New York suburb wanted a new, less cluttered look for their kitchen and called on The Kitchen Classics to create a design that updated and modernized the look, feel, and functionality. This complete kitchen remodel features a two-tone theme with white cabinets predominating around the perimeter, a dark wood center island, and a dark stone hood. In Depth Tour Of This Kitchen Remodeling Project
The stove and hood have become the focal point of the space, whereas the oven had been the previous focal point. Storage space has been significantly expanded, a beverage refrigerator has been added and all appliances have been updated. Our Senior Kitchen Designer Yury Slobodsky designed this remodeled kitchen with beauty and functionality in mind. The "Metropolitan Style" of the design, the feel of the kitchen, the new focal points and the symmetry of the cabinets have modernized the look of the kitchen in a timeless way. Careful attention to the families cooking style, and lifestyle resulted in a more functional and efficient space.
Daily use of the coffee machine means it had to be convenient, but it could not overwhelm counter space. The appliance bay cabinet to the left (also called appliance garage) provides the solution (see additional pictures below). There are numerous design ideas incorporated into the cabinets. These ideas reflect the lifestyle of the family, and their cooking style and habits. The placing of cabinetry for pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, glassware, and appliance location were all carefully considered in this remodeled kitchen design.
The appliance bay door to the left is closed, and everything associated with morning coffee is hidden. Great counter space options were a primary design consideration and between the side wall cabinets and the center island there are numerous large counter spaces to use.
The six burner stove and custom hood have become the focal point of this New York kitchen remodeling project designed by The Kitchen Classics. There is a new symmetry to the space with this new kitchen design, and the stove and hood are the focal point.
After this kitchen remodeling project the kitchen flows effortlessly into the dining room to the left and the family room to the right. As a result all 3 spaces seem bigger. The style of this kitchen is timeless, there is a warmth to the combination of the flooring, center kitchen island and the kitchen cabinets.
